Police are investigating an alleged crime spree that allegedly hit 11 small businesses across three Adelaide shopping centres in the early hours of the morning.
The thieves targeted cash, leaving already struggling store owners out of pocket and with a costly clean-up.
A witness reported seeing smashed glass doors on a barber shop at a shopping centre on Bridge Road in Para Hills at about 5.15am.
Police said when they arrived at the store, they found a pizza shop had also been broken into, with cash stolen from both premises.
Police said the suspects attempted to smash their way into a chicken shop but were unsuccessful.
The alleged offences are believed to have occurred at about 1.40am today.
The four suspects then left the scene in a white Hyundai hatchback and were wearing hooded jumpers.
Police are investigating if the break-ins are linked to similar offences in Greenwith and Torrensville around the same time this morning.
A witness heard glass breaking and then saw several people leave the Highland Village Shopping Centre in a small white hatchback just after 2am today.
Police patrols and PolAir attended the area but were unable to locate the suspects.
Four stores were allegedly broken into and tills were targeted in the break-ins.
Investigators will determine if this incident is linked to other break-ins at the Brickworks Centre and the Para Hills Shopping Centre.
