The winner of a Xiangqi, commonly known as Chinese chess, tournament has been stripped of his title after shocking allegations of cheating using anal beads and defecating in a hotel bathtub.
Yan Chenglong, 48, beat dozens of contenders to win the title of "Xiangqi King" at a tournament hosted by the Chinese Xiangqi Association (CXA).
But Yan's glow of tournament success was short-lived, and his downfall dramatic.
The CXA has announced Yan's title was being revoked and his prize money confiscated after had been caught "disrupting public order" and displaying "extremely bad character".
Those allegations centre around bizarre claims Yan had used anal beads equipped with wireless transmitters to cheat, and defecating in a bathtub during victory celebrations that spun wildly out of control.
According to the CXA, Yan started drinking with friends in his hotel room shortly after winning the title.
"Yan consumed alcohol with others in his room on the night ... damaged hotel property, violated public order and good morals, had a negative impact on the competition and the event of Xiangqi, and was of extremely bad character," the CXA said in a statement.

The association also said it was impossible to prove whether Yan had cheated using a sex toy during the competition, after lurid rumours had circulated on Chinese social media.
Xiangqi, or Chinese chess, has been hugely popular for hundreds of years across Asia.
