Police statistics combined from October and November last year show the CBD recorded the most aggravated robbery incidents, with 396 police reports, followed by Salisbury with 117 incidents, Morphett Vale with 63, and Davoren Park with 60.
The other top suburbs for crime were Modbury, Elizabeth, Oaklands Park, Christie Downs and Elizabeth South.
In the same two-month period, 1721 people were injured in serious assaults in Adelaide.
Break-in hotspots included Port Augusta with 978 incidents, Morphett Vale with 965 incidents and Port Lincoln with 926 incidents.
Other areas with the highest amount of residential break-ins included Whyalla Stuart, Mount Gambier, Davoren Park, the CBD, Murray Bridge and Prospect.
Opposition Leader David Speirs said the CBD crime statistics were "frightening" and a "problem that continues to evolve in the heart of the city".
"We've known for some time that CBD crime has been surging and the latest SAPOL statistics show the problem is far from being solved and is putting people in danger," Speirs said.
The opposition said the crime statistics were rising and called for tougher punishments for those who commit crimes.
The government said South Australia had some of the highest penalties in the country.
"The core number of offences in the CBD forever has been higher than other areas," SA Police Minister Joe Szakacs said.
