A 43-year-old man has been charged after hundreds of cannabis plants were found at a property in Adelaide's north.
Police were called to a property on Womma Road in Elizabeth North after technicians from The Office of the Technical Regulator discovered a large amount of electricity was being used in the street.
Officers searched the house after suspecting the electricity was being used to power a hydroponic setup.
Officers searched the house and located a total of 325 cannabis plants, 150 light shades, 148 ballast boxes, 101 globes and eight carbon filters, which were all seized from the address.
Police said every room in the house was being used to grow cannabis including the toilet.
Officers believed the electricity had been tampered with to power the equipment used in the hydroponic setup.
A 43-year-old man from the property was charged with cultivating a commercial quantity of cannabis, possessing prescribed equipment, and diverting electricity.
He was refused bail and appeared in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court yesterday.
