A teenage girl was killed and a young girl left fighting for her life after a two-vehicle crash near Dubbo, New South Wales.
Just before 6pm yesterday, emergency services were called to Dunedoo Road, near Ballimore Road, Ballimore, about 30km north-east of Dubbo.
They found an SUV and a semi-trailer had collided head-on.
The SUV driver was treated at the scene and taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The front-seat passenger, a 16-year-old girl, died at the scene.
A 10-year-old girl in the back seat was airlifted to hospital in Sydney's Westmead Hospital.
The semi-trailer driver was taken to hospital in Dubbo in a stable condition.
An investigation is underway and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
