A preview to Final Fantasy VII Rebirth - one of the most anticipated video games of the year - has showcased its grand scale, graphical finesse and replayability.
In today's PlayStation State of Play event, fans of the Final Fantasy franchise were given a detailed look at what to expect when the game releases on February 29.
Rebirth is shaping up to be the only game you'll need to play this year, with content out the wazoo.
This two-disc epic — a first for the PlayStation 5 — is expected to hold hundreds of hours of game activities, from a deep and familiar storyline to dozens of mini-games and extra game modes.
The original Final Fantasy VII was released in 1997 and defined the genre in its time.
Now this remake, which began with part 1 in 2020, is continuing the journey of Cloud and the gang as they face off against Sephiroth, one of the most iconic villains in gaming.

Keen fans can check out a two-part demo for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, available on PlayStation 5, with Part 1 downloadable today.
Part 1 will see players experience an extended flashback section as protagonist Cloud Strife.
Then on February 21, part 2 of the demo will be available offering a greater look an the open-world.
