A driver has been killed and another is fighting for life after a car lost control in central Victoria overnight.
Police believe the car was travelling east along West Road in Pyalong about 7.20pm, when it failed to navigate a bend in the road.
The car is believed to have hit a large dirt embankment before crashing into a tree, forcing the car to roll several times.
The driver, who is yet to be identified, died at the scene, while the passenger was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police are investigating the exact circumstances surrounding the crash.
It comes as three people died over the weekend on the state's roads, including a 12-year-old boy who was hit by a car in Mulgrave.
