Work under way to sell financially troubled hospital in South Australia

Frantic work is under way to sell a financially troubled South Australian hospital after the facility was placed into voluntary administration.
Western Hospital at Henley Beach owes more than $25 million to creditors, according to administrators Ernst and Young, but patients and staff have been reassured it is still business as usual at the popular community facility.
Graham Osborne is one of many South Australians who rely on the hospital, with the 79-year-old booked in for eye surgery in a month's time.

"This is a great hospital and its service is good and local and a lot of people use it," Osborne said.
Administrator Ernst and Young has taken control of the facility and has taken on the task of finding a buyer to carry the business in the years to come.
The state government has already lent $1 million to the hospital to help cover rent, however, questions about whether the hospital can continue in its current capacity remain.
Administrators said they were reaching out to potential buyers with the aim for a sale to be complete in as little as three months.
