Eva Milic, the distinguished presenter of 9News Gold Coast, embarked on her professional journey in January 2004 when a freelance opportunity with the network unfolded during her studies. Eva holds a Bachelor of Business degree from St Michael's College on the Gold Coast (2001) and a Masters in Journalism and Mass Communication from Griffith University (2005). By January 2006, she seamlessly assumed the role of the program's full-time weather presenter, concurrently contributing to local stories as an integral part of the news team.
Following a brief tenure with the Brisbane newsroom in December 2008, Eva returned to 9News Gold Coast News in 2010 to anchor the local bulletin. Subsequently, her career trajectory led her back to Brisbane in 2012, where she presented various shows and resumed her weekend position. She later spent three impactful years as the anchor of afternoon news for Queensland.
Beyond her illustrious news career, Eva Milic is a sought-after Master of Ceremonies, contributing another layer to her versatile skill set. In 2001, she achieved the honour of being crowned Miss World Australia, representing the nation in the global competition held in South Africa and having the privilege of meeting the iconic Nelson Mandela.
Milic and her husband Marcus are parents to daughters Lucia and Gabriella.
